  • Nura has announced NURATRUE, a new set of wireless earbuds. NURATRUE is based on the same concept behind the previously released NURAPHONES and NURALOOP models. Microphones in the earbuds measure your otoacoustic emissions—sounds generated by the inner ear—to create a "unique hearing profile" that shapes the headphones' response. NURATRUE also includes active noise cancellation, battery life for six hours of music playback and customisable button functions. A pair costs €229. Otoacoustic emissions were first demonstrated in the late '70s. They have become an indicator of inner ear behaviour, being commonly measured in hearing tests, and have been explored artistically by the likes of Maryanne Amacher.
