  • Terraforma is launching a biannual print publication. Without a 2021 festival to work on, Terraforma is expanding its scope to explore the intersection of sound, art, ecology and contemporary culture through written features. The first edition of Terraforma Journal, which is available for pre-order now, focuses on "the expanded notion of the festival—intended as a collective, multilateral, interconnected manifestation of dynamicity." Terre Thaemlitz, Shiraz Arts Festival, Nyege Nyege and Flora Yin-Wong are among the artists, collectives and writers included. Terraforma will host a performance from Donato Dozzy and Eva Geist's Il Quadro di Troisi project this summer, at their usual venue, Villa Arconati, while the next full edition of the festival is planned for July 1st, 2022. Read our 2020 feature on Terraforma, detailing the ways the festival crew has got creative with the constraints brought by Covid-19. Preorder the journal here.
