- Out July 9th, it's the composers' first collaboration.
The first collaboration between Ryuichi Sakamoto and David Toop is coming out on vinyl.
Garden Of Shadows And Light is a recording of a concert in June 2018 at The Silver Building in London. Sakamoto performed both at and inside a piano, plus on percussion and electric guitar, while Toop used flutes, a bass recorder, minidiscs, bone conduction, vibration motors and prepared lap steel guitar. The album will be available via 33-33 on July 9th.
Garden Of Shadows And Light is the first time Toop has worked with 33-33, while Sakamoto previously released a 2019 concert with Taylor Deupree via the London label.
