Bok Bok has just released his first record under his new alias, One Bok.
Zodiac Beats Vol 1&2 is a double EP spanning ten tracks—including two short voice note interludes—and explores themes of isolation, suffering and catharsis. The record is out now on AP Life, Bok Bok's new label.
"I started AP Life to try to bring some of the original DJ and dubplate culture I grew up with in the grime scene to a new skool of UK 140+ production," Bok Bok told Resident Advisor. "Unlike with the escapism of Night Slugs, it's really routed in the city, the community, and the world around us."
Nammy Wam handled the label's first release in March with a drill and grime instrumental album called Paradise South.
