  • Annie Mac will give a talk at AVA Online later this month. Slated for May 28th, the outgoing BBC Radio 1 DJ will hold a conversation with journalist Seamas O'Reilly, detailing her life in Dublin, Belfast and London, as well as the evolution of her broadcasting career. The event will be filmed at the House Of St Barnabas and streamed live from the festival's website. "Annie Mac's career and what she has done for the industry, particularly females, is staggering," AVA founder Sarah McBriar said. "Her transition from DJ to Radio and now author is inspiring and a story we want to know more about! I am thrilled that we have her on board." Max Cooper is also scheduled to give a workshop on his Yearning For The Infinite project, while R Kitt + Freeney and Holly Lester will provide live performances. Watch the event on AVA's website, May 28th, at 2 PM GMT.
