  • Black-led organisation Create Define Release, AKA CDR, is relaunching its record label. Out May 21st, Creatrix / Gunga Pea Fonk features one track each by Shunaji and Reginald Omas Mamode IV, two artists who have been regulars at CDR's London workshop sessions for years. Looking further ahead, the London-based outlet says it'll be "sharing music by artists from the scenes and cities that CDR has fostered over the years. Each release will aim to highlight a particular era, space or sound." Active between 2006 and 2009, CDR's label arm was previously known as Burntprogress. In 2017, the label revived to release the Dimension Sounds 2015 compilation. Listen to "Creatrix" by Shunaji, and listen to our recent Exchange with CDR boss Tony Nwachukwu.
