Short music videos for two singles, "Hey!" and "Force Majeure," are out now.
Gaspard Augé, one half of French electro duo Justice, is striking out on his own with an album called Escapades.
Spanning twelve tracks that were recorded in two months, Escapades is inspired not only by club music, but also psychedelic folk and Italian horror film soundtracks. In a statement accompanying the album announcement, Augé says he's "always been obsessed with making larger than life music." True to form, a short video clip for Escapades features a Mongolian horse rider playing the violin, which was "the first thing that came to my mind while recording the track," Augé said.
His first solo LP arrives on June 25th via Ed Banger Records, Because Music, and Genesis, Justice's own Ed Banger sub-imprint.
Justice recently took home a Grammy and, separately, issued a cease-and-desist order to Justin Bieber over album artwork.
