dBridge and Prequel Tapes join forces for a four-tracker on Midnight Shift.
The Berlin-based, Singaporean label Midnight Shift will release the two artists' first collaboration, Ionize, on June 18th. The EP, which explores a range of tempos and styles, is drum & bass artist dBridge's first time working with Midnight Shift, while Prequel Tapes appeared on the label in 2017.
"Anyone who knows me musically knows I'm a fan of collaborations," Darren White, AKA dBridge, told Resident Advisor. "I'm intrigued by what they may conjure up. I especially enjoy working with people from beyond the scene I'm known for, so when Marco approached me about this project, it was an easy yes."
Prequel Tapes adds: "When Midnight Shift offered me to do a collaborative EP, Darren was a natural choice, as he's so versatile and always takes unexpected left turns. The process was enjoyable and relaxed, as we had that immediate common ground of groove, sound design and melody. Collaborating has really helped me to stay positive over the last year. Darren and I were dealing with similar situations, which is why we took our time with the music."
