Flying Lotus has shared two new tracks from the soundtrack to the anime series Yasuke.
"Black Gold" and "Between Memories" feature Thundercat and Niiki Randa respectively, and play during Yasuke's opening sequence and closing credits. Both tracks are available to stream.
Created by LeSean Thomas, Yasuke was executive produced by Flying Lotus. "[LeSean] and I talked about being outsiders in anime," said Flying Lotus. "I was like, 'Why aren't more Black kids trying to do this? Why is it so out of the ordinary?' He was saying that it's because they don't have examples." The series premieres April 29th.
