  • You can now register to watch a visual meditation on Julie Mehretu's Congress, featuring music from Floating Points, Pharoah Sanders and The London Symphony Orchestra's new album on Luaka Bop. The Broad (Los Angeles) and the Whitney Museum of American Art (New York City) co-host the virtual premiere of Promises: Through Congress on April 24th at 3 PM EST/12 PM PST/8 PM GMT. More information is available on the album's website. The film, which was shot at the Broad and directed by Trevor Tweeten, is a close-up look at Mehretu's artwork, which features on the Promises album cover. Talking about the film, Floating Points said he "wanted to perpetuate this idea of being centered in the middle of the painting with its details swirling around you."
