  • Kompakt co-founder Wolfgang Voigt has produced a series of digital artworks that will be issued as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on cryptocurrency-based art marketplace Foundation. Voigt's work features horses against colourful graphics, loops and what are described as "stoic-minimalist repetitions." Inspired by his 1999 record "W.I.R." under his Wasserman alias, the series combines pop art and expressionism. They go up for auction today and the highest bidder on each respective piece will receive a special video artwork by Voigt as a bonus. This is the German musician's first foray into the realm of crypto art. To celebrate, he released a new "Kryptodance" remix of "W.I.R." that's available for download via Kompakt's website. This record follows Rückverzauberung Exhibition, the latest album in the Cologne-based producer's Rückverzauberung series. Check out Voigt's art on the official auction page.
