  • The 2021 edition of Belfast festival AVA is scheduled for September 24th and 25th. Due to take place at Boucher Road Playing Fields for the first time, this year's edition will feature the usual mix of local and international acts, with Helena Hauff, Carista, Kaidi Tatham, Sally C, Jayda G, Or:la, Tommy Holohan and Dublin singer-songwriter Aby Coulibaly among the highlights. "Not only will this be one of the first festivals returning after a pandemic, but this will also be the beginning of our new fully outdoor chapter," says founder and director Sarah McBriar. "We have been working on the new site design for some time, combining our signature industrial design with the natural landscape, showcasing the artists in the best way and making this year's AVA experience unique. The dark evenings in September will also lend itself to our new audiovisual shows planned." AVA will run from 12 PM through midnight on both days, with afterparties and a closing show also planned. The lineups for those are still TBA. Find out more here.
