  • Starting next month, live music venues in the U.S. can finally apply for long-awaited financial aid. Known as the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG), the program has more than $16 billion allocated for live venues, museums, movie theatres and other establishments hit by the pandemic. Run by the US. Small Business Administration, a government agency focused on entrepreneurs, the SVOG will officially accept applications through its website on April 8th. To be considered eligible, applicants must first register on a federal government website called System For Award Management.
