  • Electronic Beats is publishing a 300-page book. Marking 20 years in business, the Berlin-based media outlet has put together an in-depth look at the intersections of music, media and culture. It includes writings on the role of brands in a post-label era, women pioneers in electronic music, the dance floor as a religious meeting place, computer game soundtracks and musical escapism in a pandemic. "Electronic Beats is a celebratory testament to the interdisciplinary nature of music across creative disciplines," says editor-in-chief Whitney Wei. "Youth culture has always been ahead of the game, and this nearly 300-page tome memorializes 20 years of next-gen new media, curiosity, and innovation." Artist contributors include Honey Dijon, Billie Eilish, Bryan Ferry, Ellen Allien and Dixon, while Stefan Marx handled the drawings and photo galleries. Published by Blumenbar, Electronic Beats will be available from today via Voo Store.
