- Visions: A Benefit Compilation for Artsakh features Club Chai's 8ULENTINA and Lara Sarkissian.
Club Chai's Lara Sarkissian and fellow Bay area artist Oso Feo have pulled together a 25-track compilation to benefit displaced Armenians.
Visions: Benefit Compilation for Artsakh spans 25 tracks across acid, house, techno, industrial and ambient from the likes of Bored Lord, Roche, Slim Media Player, Sarkissian and Kosmik. All proceeds from album sales will go towards organizations aiding Armenians in the disputed Central Asian territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. The area, also known as Artsakh, is mostly inhabited by Armenians who have suffered amid recent conflict between Armenian and Azerbaijan forces, as reported by several news outlets.
"This is an indigenous struggle, and as ethnic-supremacist ideologies are on the rise across the world, we wanted to have a project that stands in solidarity with indigenous people's right to self-determination and existence, and help from here in a small way," said Ortega and Sarkissian.
