Gobi. The Vinyl Edit 2021 will be a vinyl-only release on London label Astral Industries.
22 years after coming out on CD through Monolake's label, Imbalance Computer Music, Gobi has been edited for its first vinyl appearance. The vinyl reissue follows a remastered and extended version released digitally last year.
Gobi was produced in 1999 by the Monolake duo of Robert Henke and Gerhard Behles. It is made from time-stretched and granulated loops from their 1997 album, Hongkong. Henke now runs the project alone, while Behles is the CEO of Ableton.
