  • Goat frontman Koshiro Hino, AKA YPY, has teamed up with taiko drumming troupe Kodō in a new film. Directed by Toshiaki Toyoda, Shiver began with an email from one of Kodō's members, which led to a month-long stay in Sado Island, Japan, where all the film's music was recorded. The film was also shot on the island—mainly inside Kodō Village's rehearsal hall—during Japan's record-heavy snowfall in December 2020. Shiver is out on Vimeo until the end of February, where it can be rented for $15 for a one-week streaming period. YPY is the solo project of Goat member and Osaka-based composer Hino. Kodō is a Sado Island-based taiko performing arts ensemble that has been active since 1981. Watch the trailer.
