  • New York is providing free application assistance for the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant. Last year, Congress approved a stimulus bill that includes relief for independent venues. Formerly called Save Our Stages, the program offers grants of up to $10 million to any business or non-profit connected to live performance. Those eligible to apply include venue operators or promoters, performing arts organizations, talent representatives and more. In order to apply, the venue must have been operating as of February 29th and the applicant must not have applied for a PPP loan on or after December 27th, 2020. New York's application assistance program, Curtains Up NYC, will offer webinars and one-on-one counseling for entites interested in applying for the grant.
