Jeff Mills is launching a quarterly digital magazine.
The Escape Velocity will be published by Mills' long-running label, Axis Records. A tweet from Mills' official account says the magazine is "coming soon" via the label's website and will be "focused on all that inspires creativity."
The label also says that "Mills imagined this to be a much-needed fixture in this art form of music, the content is focused and concentrated on music and all the things it takes to conceive it." There are no further details on its content.
In 2020, Axis expanded to include jazz, classical and film soundtracks. It also released techno albums from DVS1, Tadeo, Terrence Dixon, Jonas Kopp, DJ Surgeles, 30Drop and more, as well as an album from Mills himself and eight under his Millsart alias.
