- The follow-up to the American artist's 2019 full-length debut is out now.
Chants' next album, Poly Pointillism, is out on Astral Plane Recordings.
The Madison-based experimental club artist's return to Astral Plane was written in lockdown during the 2020 summer, constructed from a daily series of percussion videos posted to Chants' Instagram. The label explains that, following 2019's debut LP Seven Spheres—the "culmination of several years of work on dance floor-intentioned rhythmic forms"—Poly Pointillism is instead a record founded in "improvisational levity."
Each download of the album via Bandcamp also comes with a sample pack including every sound used to make the record.
