  • Blacklisted, a new fortnightly podcast exploring the culture of London's house music scene, is here. The first episode, titled Walking With Elephants (In The Room), went live on Sunday, January 31st. Its three founders and hosts—Fabio Luis, Shenin Amara and Dayran—have all been working in the industry across various roles for the past ten years. "We're all people of colour from working-class backgrounds, so will often explore issues of race, class and discrimination in the industry, but with humorous context," Amara told Resident Advisor. "Even with the current saturation in the podcast market, we feel there is still a gap for these types of frank conversations. Also we want to push our industry into creating more lifestyle content, away from just music, mixes and events." The first few episodes will focus on the three hosts, with guests "from all walks of life" locked in for the coming weeks and months. Watch the first episode on YouTube or listen via Spotify.
