  • Octo Octa will discuss her home studio, hardware and music-making techniques in a new livestream class for Los Angeles-based IO Music Academy. The five-day course runs from February 22nd through 26th and costs $47 in total. The American artist will explain how she approaches hardware routing, MIDI clocking, sequencing, synthesis, sound design and mixing. She will also advise on setting up budget-friendly home studios. Each day will include a lesson and time for questions from participants, Octo Octa described on Instagram. She also offered to help out those who can't afford to pay. "If you are someone who cannot afford this class, please write me as there are some reserved seats," she said. The producer, whose real name is Maya Bouldry-Morrison, is due to release an EP, She's Calling, on February 5th via her own T4T LUV NRG label. Read our review of "Goddess Calling" from the EP.
