  • New festival Lunar Beach is scheduled to take place in Vietnam from February 12th through 15th. Held at a beach on the southern island of Phu Quoc, the outdoor event will host two stages and more than 30 locally based acts. These include Ouissam of the Hanoi club Savage, Nic Ford, resident at Ho Chi Minh's The Observatory, and Zwi of Hanoi collective Metro. All attendees will undergo temperature checks upon entering the site. Lunar Beach is organised by promoter crew Saturnalia, which includes Icelandic techno artist Exos. It's the latest addition to Vietnam's growing festival landscape. For New Year's Eve, Hanoi-based group Studio Adventure Collective threw a four-day party on Phu Quoc with domestic acts. On January 28th, Vietnam reported its first coronavirus outbreak in nearly two months. The country, which recently opened its borders to business travellers, announced 271 total cases from this new wave on Tuesday, according to local news.
