- The South African stars came up with the track in just an hour.
DJ Lag has teamed up with fellow South African producer DJ Tira on a new track.
"Siyagroova", released today via Cape Town-based music agency Black Major, mixes kwaito and gqom and took just one hour to make, according to the artists."It was just the two of us in Tira's studio and the song was finished so quickly," Lag said on the collaboration. "It showed that this is something we should have done long ago."
"Siyagroova" follows Lag's remix of Cape Town duo Stiff Pap and Moonchild Sanelly—read Resident Advisor's review of that track. Earlier this month, the gqom artist received an undisclosed settlement from will.i.am following a plagiarism controversy.
