  • The next edition of virtual rave Club Qu (FKA Club Quarantäne) is a partnership with IOR50 Studio and CTM Festival. Scheduled for Saturday, January 30th, CQ5 is billed as a reaction against the heteronormative culture surrounding the 3D and video game worlds. The online event is "solely for queer expression of digital souls," according to the press release. There will be three hours of music by DJs representing six queer collectives from around the world, with slots for ISAbella (MARICAS), Betty Apple (ArtKB48), Dormant Youth (Pussy Party), EPX, ERAM & Saskia (Zona EXP) and Oscar NÑ from New York's Papi Juice. To accompany the music, IOR50 Studio cofounder Sam Aldridge has created "a database of queer movement" by recording several dancers using motion capture. These visuals will be on full display. CQ5 is also presented by Resident Advisor. The stream will run from 10 PM CET through 1 AM on Saturday, January 30th, via the Club Qu website and RA's YouTube channel. Find out more info here.
