- The first official rework of the song is out on Read's own 8 Head this week.
Gerry Read has remixed Plustwo's 1983 Italo disco hit "Melody."
"I reached out to Giorgio Costantini (synth player in Plustwo) who wrote and owns the original track," the UK artist told Resident Advisor. "My management and I presented the idea of a remix and he and the rest of the band were really into it. This is the first official remix ever of this track. It was originally going to be on his label but to make his life easier, he asked if I'd release myself on my imprint 8 Head."
The remix will see an official release through Gerry Read's label on Wednesday, January 27th.
