  • Glastonbury festival will not take place in 2021. The five-day event, which takes place annually in Somerset, England, will not be going ahead for the second consecutive year. "In spite of our efforts to move Heaven & Earth," wrote founders Michael and Emily Eavis in today's statement, "it has become clear that we simply will not be able to make the festival happen this year. We are so sorry to let you all down." Attendees who secured a ticket in 2019 will have the option to roll their deposit on to next year's edition. The 2022 festival will take place from 22nd through 26th June, and the founders are "are very confident [they] can deliver something really special for us all."
