  • Long-running Melbourne club Killing Time will reopen this weekend after nearly 12 months of closure. The Windsor venue, a bastion for house and minimal for more than a decade, had its calendar interrupted in March 2020 by the coronavirus pandemic, with the owners taking the opportunity to fully renovate the club during the downtime. Upgraded sound in every room, a new outdoor deck area, an upstairs function room and Covid-safe booth seating in the front bar are among the improvements made, resulting in an overall capacity increase for the venue while taking social distancing into account. The Mantra Collective crew will be tasked with relaunching the space on January 23rd, with Brock Ferrar, Lily Dalton and Matt Kovic featuring on the lineup. Crucially, dancing will be allowed. Following the 23rd, Killing Time will be open and operating on a weekly basis.
