  • Drummer B is performing original tracks off his forthcoming album, A.O.A., via livestream later this month. An acronym for Age Of Aquarius, A.O.A. explores ambient and electro, featuring nods to Drexciya and Afrofuturism in its production and accompanying artwork. It's due out in February. The virtual performance will take place against the backdrop of Detroit's Belle Isle Aquarium, and can be accessed via Paxahau on Thursday, January 28th. Entry will be donation-based, with proceeds being directed toward funding the aquarium's maintenance and aquatic life. Detroit native Drummer B is a producer and Soul Touch label boss who has previously worked with Danny Brown, Baatin of Slum Village and more. A.O.A. follows Drummer B's Valley Of Kings - Detroit To Cairo album, which was released on his own imprint back in 2019.
