  • Alex Albrecht will release his first album, Campfire Stories, on his own Analogue Attic Recordings label on March 10th. The bulk of Albrecht's output since 2018 has been via his Melquíades alias, a project he debuted with an EP on Frank and Tony's Scissor and Thread imprint. Campfire Stories serves as his first solo release under his given name and sees him collaborating with the likes of 30/70's Allysha Joy and Ziggy Zeitgeist, Badskin's Carla Olivier, Analogue Attic regular Thomas Gray and label co-founder Sean La'Brooy. Taking inspiration from artists like FSOL, DJ Sprinkles and The Necks, Albrecht explains that Campfire Stories "explores dreams, the unconscious and the intertwining of feelings and memory," incorporating field recordings throughout the ten-track, gapless ambient journey as is customary within the Analogue Attic catalogue.
