- Statistique Synthétique / Teum (the Silvery Slit) are now available digitally with vinyl due in March.
Okkyung Lee and Florian Hecker are the third instalment in the GRM Portraits series.
Titled Statistique Synthétique / Teum (the Silvery Slit), the split vinyl release features one piece by Hecker and one by Lee. Hecker's side combines computer-generated sound with resynthesised field recordings while Lee's conjures images of "underground thunderstorms," according to GRM director François Bonnet's accompanying text.
Digital versions of both sides are already available on the GRM Portraits Bandcamp. The vinyl edition is scheduled to ship March 15th.
The release follows earlier instalments by Max Eilbacher, Lucy Railton and Jim O'Rourke. Portraits GRM is a collaboration between INA GRM and Editions Mego dedicated to commissioning new works.
