  • Legendary UK music magazine Jockey Slut is publishing a book in tribute to the late Andrew Weatherall. The 160-page volume collates all Weatherall's Jockey Slut interviews plus numerous articles spanning the breadth of his career, from the mid-'80s to 2020, the year he died. There's also a new, 10,000-word oral history featuring interviews with Bobby Gillespie, Danny Rampling, Keith Tenniswood (AKA Radioactive Man) and more. All proceeds from Andrew Weatherall: A Jockey Slut Tribute, which you can pre-order now, will go to Weatherall's favourite charities: Amnesty International, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Thrombosis UK and Crisis. Launched in Manchester as a bi-monthly fanzine in 1993, Jockey Slut ran until 2004. Its focus was primarily dance music and club culture, though rock, indie and other scenes also featured.
