  • Grimes has released a new track, "AI Lullaby," in collaboration with Endel Pacific, a personalized mood music startup. The brief track, described as a "limited edition sleep soundscape," features original vocals and music by Grimes which are then processed by Endel Pacific technology to create a soundscape that adapts for various factors, such as the listener's location, weather and natural light levels. Grimes' contribution is informed by her experience as a new mother and is meant to help adults and children sleep better. "I think, if approached properly, AI has the ability to radically fix our world," Grimes said in the accompanying statement. "I appreciate Endel because they represent the growing trend of humane technology. I hope that the fields of AI safety, research, philosophy, as well as humane AI and spiritual technology etc. can grow a lot in the coming years. We'll need it!" "AI Lullaby" is currently available exclusively through the Endel app. Proceeds from the project will go to the nonprofits A.I. For Anyone and Naked Heart Foundation. Last year, Grimes commtned on AI's musical potential on Sean Carroll's Mindscape podcast. Grimes released the Miss Anthropocene album earlier this year. Listen to Grimes recent RA Exchange podcast.
