Simo Cell has made an album with singer Abdullah Miniawy.
Out this Friday, October 16th, on Brothers From Different Mothers, Kill Me Or Negotiate "merges hypermodern hip-hop and bass-infused production with soulful trumpet and vocals hoodoo," says Simo Cell. The LP, which spans six tracks, was three years in the making. A vinyl version will follow on November 30th.
Simo Cell and Miniawy will perform live together at La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris on October 23rd. The show will be livestreamed.
Miniawy, who is also a singer, actor and musician, has also collaborated with Münich-based trio Carl-Gari and French jazz trumpeter Erik Truffaz, among others.
Last month, Simo Cell launched a label, TEMƎT, with a 12-inch by Paris artist E-Unity.
