A new documentary series traces the emergence and impact of grime platform GRM Daily and its founder Posty.
Together We Rise: The Uncompromised Story Of GRM Daily dives into how Posty and GRM Daily, which launched as a YouTube channel in 2009, gained influence and highlighted Black British grime and rap talent to a global audience. In addition to Posty, the docuseries features a number of key players in the scene, such as the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Skepta, JME, Julie Adenuga, Ms Banks, Stormzy, Kano and D Double E.
The next part will premiere this Thursday, October 1st, with the third episode to follow on the 5th and the finale broadcasting on October 8th. All episodes will be available here.
Another grime-focused feature will premiere next month, a film called Against All Odds. It stars Jammer, Ghetts and D Double E, all playing themselves, and will broadcast November 13th on the returning grime TV station Channel U.
