  • Underscope is a new digital media platform dedicated to amplifying French electronic music. The new outlet will combine publishing and distribution with a media network and is helmed by Brice Coudert, cofounder of French club Concrete and Dehors Brut (pictured), Aymeric Cornille of Parisian promoter Surprize and David Bossan of publishing company District6. The network intends to sign 100 labels, assisting them with publishing and distributing their music. On the distribution and publishing end, Underscope will work in partnership with distribution company Believe and District6. The team will also try to enhance artists' visibility via curated editorialized playlists on major streaming platforms. The music will be further highlighted through a social media platform, run by Quentin Courel and Anthony Gboy of Facebook Community Chineurs (and Comic Sans Records label managers). 50 labels representing both established and new talent across a variety of genres including house, techno and bass music have already joined the platform. Listen to E-Unity's "Late Tate Tale," from Simo Cell's new label, as premiered on Underscope's YouTube channel.
