  • Movement and video streaming platform Twitch are partnering up to create four online festivals and a series of new weekly streams. Paxahau, the promoter behind Movement Detroit, announced the partnership will begin on September 25th and 26th with Movement Selects Vol. 1, a virtual festival being broadcast via the newly launched Paxahau.TV platform. Juan Atkins, Eddie Fowlkes and Maceo Plex top the DJ lineup, while live sets come from Aux 88, Rebecca Goldberg and Kevin Saunderson who performs as Inner City. Along with the Movement Selects series of festivals, Paxahau.TV will also host exclusive weekly content in a few different formats. Remote sees DJs and live acts beaming in from all around the world to play, while Paxahau HQ hosts them from Paxahau's offices in Detroit. Paxachat is what they're calling a "variety video podcast show" which will cover everything from panels and discussions to studio sessions. The 2020 edition of Movement Detroit was postponed in May due to the coronavirus pandemic, with a virtual offering Movement At Home taking its place over Memorial Day Weekend. Now slated for May 2021 at its usual location, Hart Plaza, the festival will feature Carl Craig, ANNA, DJ Minx and Richie Hawtin. Listen to our Exchange with the team behind Paxahau.
