  • This past summer proved to be a very busy and productive time for Hector Romero. Headlining alongside Satoshi Tomiie, their DefMix/SAW Recordings night at the legendary Pacha was bigger than ever before. Aside from playing the main room every other week for the first time ever, their record label was rocking dancefloors throughout Ibiza courtesy of Chab’s “Closer To Me”. His touring schedule was also as fierce as the time spent in Ibiza. With nights in Italy, Spain, Russia, Canada, Switzerland and the Netherlands, how did he find time to keep up with operations at SAW and Satoshi’s ES compilation as well as his guest radio show mixes? Well – when it comes to being busy, New Yorkers can certainly relate. No wonder hectic Manhattanites consider Hector Romero one of the best homegrown talents. The love his fans at home have for him intensifies with every month he is away, and since distance makes the heart grow fonder, it is about time Hector returns home! Thankfully, the staff at the underground club Sullivan Room managed to reserve him for a Turkey-Day bash. This being his first gig at Sully since April, prepare to shake your tail feathers to some dirty house served up Romero style. According to the man himself, there is nothing like playing for your loyal fans at your hometown. So let’s give Hector a warm welcome home and show him how we like to celebrate Thanksgiving.
