  • Blowing Up The Workshop is ending after eight years. The beloved mix series, founded by Matthew Kent, who also co-runs Mana Records, is sharing seven new mixes today as part of its grand finale. In addition to Kent himself, this last round features entries from CCL, Dr Banana, Akash, Chris SSG, SL Comms and re:st. Blowing Up The Workshop's mix platform let producers, from the world-renowned to the hyper-local and low-key, experiment with the format, becoming one of the key mix outlets of the past decade. René Audiard kicked off the series, and Galcher Lustwerk's pivotal 2013 all-originals mix 100% Galcher is perhaps BUTW's most well-known instalment. More recent highlights include Yaeji's vocal-led entry in 2018 and Jack Murphy's Ricardo Villalobos tribute from March. Listen to the new mixes via Kent's Twitter thread, and dive into the BUTW archives via the official website and SoundCloud.
