  • Machinedrum is back with his first album in four years. Ninja Tune will release the LA-based producer's ninth LP, A View Of U, on October 9th. Out of the album's 11 tracks, eight are collaborations, featuring the likes of Freddie Gibbs, Rochelle Jordan, Mono/Poly & Tanerélle and Chrome Sparks. It's the follow up to his last full-length, Human Energy, from 2016. A View Of U centers on the idea of having an out-of-body experience. "The feeling of being out of your body feels infinite," Machinedrum says. "It feels like time has stopped. It feels like the birth of creation." Earlier this year, Machinedrum teamed up with Holly to release the Berry Patch EP on Visions Recordings, and in 2019, he collaborated with Jimmy Edgar on Zoospa, their debut album as J-E-T-S. Listen to "Kane Train," featuring Freddie Gibbs, and "Ur2yung."
