DJ Deeon has shared a fundraising campaign to keep him afloat through the pandemic.
The ghetto house innovator has launched a Crowdfunder to offset financial setbacks he's faced while recovering from various illnesses. In a note to his fans, he details his declining health over the years, beginning with "quadruple bypass heart surgery, then suffering through cancer and chemotherapy, and then finally they took my leg."
Between 2018 and 2019, he also experienced several mini-strokes, leading him to cancel several international gigs while he recovered. The onset of the pandemic brought further financial loss, as it "removed any chance of earning from gigs."
DJ Deeon is offering rewards in exchange for donations. These include a folder of unreleased edits, T-shirts, video messages, Bandcamp discography, private gigs and the opportunity to have a track remixed by him.
