  • Mike Huckaby's Baseline 87' will get a limited repress via Sushitech Records, with all proceeds going to Detroit youth in need. The German label originally pressed the two-track 10-inch in 2011. A simple, functional bomb in the classic Huckaby template, he'd follow it up with the well-received Baseline 88-89 the next year. Sushitech will repress the 10-inch in limited quantities to mark its 15th anniversary but most importantly, honor the legacy of the recently deceased Detroit artist. All profits from the Baseline 87' remix will go to Detroit youth in need. Huckaby taught production classes at Youthville in Detroit, tutoring the likes of Kyle Hall and inspiring similar classes around the world. Read Remembering Mike Huckaby: Ten Tracks And One Mix.
