  • Bandcamp is extending Bandcamp Fridays until the end of the year. Since the onset of the pandemic in March, the music platform has waived vendor fees every first Friday of the month, giving $20 million directly to artists in total so far. "Because the pandemic is far from over," they say, the site will continue to offer its share of sales to artists or labels for the remainder of 2020. Forthcoming days are slated for August 7th, September 4th, October 2nd, November 6th and December 4th. Last month, Bandcamp donated its share of fees to NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund for Juneteenth.
