- Shanti Celeste, Peach, Gwenan, Moxie and many more are taking part in the marathon fundraiser, which starts tomorrow.
The late DJ and UK garage aficionado Alex T is being remembered this week with a four-day stream to raise money for Meningitis Now.
Tuesday, June 16th would have been Alex Theodossiadis's 26th birthday. To celebrate, friends and family have organised four days of music featuring more than 50 DJs, including Shanti Celeste, Peach, Gwenan, Moxie, Bruce, Hamish Cole and Chekov. The sets will be streamed via Facebook.
Each day will be hosted by a different crew close to Theodossiadis' heart, starting tomorrow with Leeds record shop Tribe, where he worked. Wednesday belongs to Manchester crews Partisan x Left, Right & Centre x All Hands On Deck, followed by Heels & Souls in London on Friday and On Rotation, the party he ran in Leeds, on Saturday, June 20th.
The organisers want to raise £5000 for Meningitis Now. (Theodossiadis died from bacterial meningitis.) Donate now via GoFundMe.
