- Logic Pro X 10.5 is the most substantial update since Logic Pro X's launch in 2013.
Apple has released the latest version of Logic Pro X, Logic Pro X 10.5.
The update includes a professional version of Live Loops, which comes with a range of DJ-style effects via a complementary feature, Remix FM. There is also a redesigned version of the EXS24 Sampler plug-in, retitled Sampler, as well as the new Quick Sampler, intended for faster sampling.
A new collection of beat-making tools will also be available. They include the sound-design editor Step Sequencer, a drum-kit building interface, Drum Machine Sequencer, and the Drum Synth plug-in for the creation of original drum sounds. Logic Remote, an iOS companion app for iPhone and iPad, also received an update, allowing sound triggers in Live Loops, the ability to browse and add loops, as well as the use of Remix FM.
The software has been optimized to work best with the latest Mac hardware and macOS. Logic Pro X 10.5 is the biggest update to Logic since the launch of Logic Pro X in 2013.
Logic Pro X 10.5 is now available for $199.99. The update is free for existing users.
