- The Barcelona festival was due to take place this June.
Primavera Sound is the latest festival to postpone its 2020 edition in light of the global coronavirus pandemic.
Following the Spanish government's restrictions on large-scale events throughout the summer, Primavera has confirmed it is not holding a festival this year. The 2020 festival was set to be Primavera's 20th anniversary. Instead, the next edition will take place June 2nd through 6th, 2021.
In a statement posted to social media, Primavera said all tickets purchased for 2020 would be valid in 2021. Refunds will also be available to ticket-buyers.
Sónar, another key Barcelona festival, postponed its main edition until 2021 last week.
