- A public memorial will be held later this summer.
Mike Huckaby's family is raising money for his final expenses via a GoFundMe page.
Adriel Thornton, the longtime Detroit promoter who worked with Huckaby on the third Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2002, launched the page on behalf of Huckaby's brother Craig, a respected DJ and producer in his own right. Huckaby died from complications of a stroke and COVID-19 on April 24th, 2020. He was survived by his brother and mother, who have asked for support to assist with funeral expenses.
A private memorial will be held this Friday, May 8th, with a public gathering to be held later this summer as local guidelines allow.
