  • Bandcamp is waiving its fees again on May 1st. Update: Bandcamp has announced it will also waive fees on the first Fridays of the next three months (June 5th and July 3rd). The move was revealed in an email to artists and labels sent by Bandcamp today. The platform's fees will once again be waived for a 24-hour period, so that all proceeds from sales go direct to artists (or labels). Bandcamp did their first direct-to-artist sale earlier this year, on March 20, when users spent over $4 million in a record day for sales. (Check out our buyer's guide from that sale.) In an effort to help support musicians, RA has started a weekly Bandcamp highlights column featuring some of our favourite release from each week. Check out the most recent one here.
