  • Roly Porter has named his fourth solo album, Kistvaen, after a type of granite tomb found mostly in Dartmoor, England. Out in June via Subtext, the six-track LP is inspired by ancient burial rituals and the similarities in the experience of death between the Stone Age and today. Combining field recordings, folk music and digital processing, it also features three vocalists: Phil Owen, Mary-Anne Roberts (Bragod) and Ellen Southern (Dead Space Chamber Music). Porter's last album was 2016's Third Law. Listen to "an open door" from Kistvaen.
