  • Vladislav Delay / Sly Dunbar / Robbie Shakespeare will release 500-Push-Up via Sub Rosa in May. For the nine-track record, Vladislav Delay (Sasu Ripatti) traveled to Kingston, Jamaica to spend some time at The Anchor Studios. There, he recorded bass and drum tracks with Sly & Robbie, along with vocal takes and some field recordings. He then headed back to Finland to process the Jamaican recordings in his studio on the island of Hailuoto in northern Finland. It's the second album Sasu Ripatti has made with the legendary Jamaican duo—he also had a hand in Nordub, a 2018 LP featuring Sly & Robbie, trumpet player Nils-Petter Molvaer and the guitarist Eivind Aarset. It'll be the second Vladislav Delay full-length of the year, following his recent solo LP, Rakka. The Finnish mainstay's landmark year 2000 album for Chain Reaction, Multila, will be released on vinyl for the first time tomorrow. Listen to clips over at Forced Exposure.
